What is SDH?

SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) is a high-speed international transmission system capable of carrying digital signals at various capacities. It emerged from a set of modifications to the SONET standard and was adopted as a standard by CCITT in 1988. SDH uses fiber optic links to take advantage of the high bandwidth and reliability of the fiber optic medium.

What is a SCADA system?

SCADA — formed from the initials of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition — is a centralised supervisory control and data acquisition system. SCADA systems allow facilities spread over a wide area to be monitored from a single centre using devices such as computers, mobile phones or tablets; fundamentally it is software.

What are TEİAŞ Communication Requirements?

They are official technical documents prepared by TEİAŞ and submitted to companies, covering the communication systems of facilities such as hydro, wind and geothermal plants, combined-cycle gas plants and organised industrial zones connecting to TEİAŞ over 154 kV or 380 kV lines under a connection agreement. They define the communication system between the new facility and the facility it connects to, the capacity and the technical characteristics of the equipment to be installed.

What is the capacity of the TEİAŞ leased line?

The line leased from Türk Telekom runs at 64 kbps. It carries one 19,200 kbps RTU data stream and two E&M PAX telephone channels. Voice channels are compressed to 8–12 kbps on the multiplexer before transport.

How many inputs/outputs does a teleprotection device provide?

Teleprotection devices provide 8 inputs and 8 outputs as standard. A signal arriving at an input on one side appears at the output on the other side and triggers the relay through a dry contact. Our domestically produced INTPRO 480X also provides 8 inputs / 8 outputs and is TEİAŞ approved.
